Hey ! I’m Claire from Canada and I want to help you get inspired to plan your next trip with useful information about budget travel, with a focus on Canadian destinations, exciting festivals, special events and other once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences.
I share my extensive souvenir pin collection and personal stories on Instagram and here on the website I provide travel tips and destination guides on my blog along with helpful, comprehensive reviews of travel experiences like tours, day trips and other activities.
Background
I left Canada to do a field research project in South-Eastern Europe back in 2011, and I have been travelling part-time ever since ! I currently have a degree in Political Science and a certificate in Digital Marketing.
I have been working as a professional brand representative for the past ten years, which has taken me all across Canada to different events and celebrations on behalf of corporate brands, non-profit campaigns and education and awareness programs developed by the federal government.
I also have experience as an international student event coordinator at the post-secondary level, and I have enjoyed meeting students from all over the world.
Right now, I live in a small town in Central Canada and I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the world !

The story behind Claire Pins Travel
10 years, 40 countries, 700 pins, a lifetime of memories
When I tell people I collect souvenir travel pins, they usually ask how many I have. Over the years, my collection has grown to over 700 pins from destinations all around the world.
I keep them on a large canvas map of the world on the wall in my living room and for me, it represents 25 years of travel and a lifetime of memories.
To me, it’s never been about showing off how many places I’ve visited, collecting pins has instead been a way to preserve the memories and recall the experiences I’ve had during my travels.
Many of the pictures from these trips have long since been lost, but I can go up to my pin board and find a particular pin and remember everything we did, the people we met, and all the adventures I’ve been on.
